Stefanie Schmid is an award-winning abstract artist based in the Twin Cities whose work is deeply influenced by her journey as a survivor of violence. Her paintings are a visual dialogue between her body, mind, and the world around her. Created without rigid plans, Schmid’s art is intuitive and abstract. She seeks not only to heal and to understand herself, but to invite viewers into a shared space of connection and reflection.

Stefanie’s paired with Best Buy in 2024, and her art is used as set decor in their commercials. She was also interviewed for a PBS segment about mental health and art (2021).
